I just saw this awesome article that explains that CERN has been able to produce a “mini big-bang” by smashin lead ions together, just like the conditions that exists a few micro-seconds after the creation of the universe!  I find this extremely awesome, being a science guy.  Even if it’s going to take forever to analyze all the data, and even if they don’t even understand the data, it’s kind of neat to see that the technology they’re using to actually do these experiments is working!  I hope they plan many more experiments like this!
